"Kotigobba 3" (2021) is a Kannada action masala entertainer, directed by Shiva Karthik and starring Sudeep in a double role with Madonna Sebastian, P. Ravi Shankar, and Aftab Shivdasani. Kotigobba 2's sequel, the movie has a mix of action, emotion, and mystery with two brothers getting revenge and justice.
The movie is about the life of Sathya, a kind-hearted person who runs an orphanage and uses black money in secret to fund his charitable work. When a girl named Jaanu, who lives in the orphanage, gets a rare heart ailment, Sathya takes her to Poland for surgery. While on a visit to Warsaw, Sathya encounters Dr. Priya and falls for her. Simultaneously, a masked burglar named Ghost pulls off a huge heist, stealing an invaluable Crown Jewel destined for Devendra, a drug lord who is corrupt. Ghost's resemblance to Sathya raises the antennae of Interpol officials Sharath and Kangana, who launch an international manhunt.
As the investigation deepens, Sathya gets nabbed despite being innocent. Devendra, fearful of Sathya's presence, sends an assassin to murder him, but Sathya survives. Eventually, the reality is exposed that Ghost is not Sathya but his twin brother Shiva, who had been raised separately after a disastrous incident involving their mother, Durga, and Devendra. Earlier, Durga was murdered for opposing Devendra's unethical plans of spreading a disease and making money from its cure. Shiva, injured in the mishap, was saved and treated at an ashram.
In the present, Devendra's son Jeet kidnaps Jaanu but is saved by Sathya. Shiva takes revenge by killing Devendra and framing the scandalous cop Kishore. Sathya is back at the orphanage while Shiva sells the plundered jewel to aid victims ruined by Devendra's drugs at the conclusion of the film.
"Kotigobba 3" is a breakneck thriller powered by family, vendetta, and an anti-corporate battle, powered by Sudeep's authoritative double act.
