A retired professor lives a middle class life with his three sons Uttam, Durlabh and the youngest Raunak. Uttam is married and has a child, Durlabh’s wife Mohini wants a divorce and goes to stay at her mother’s, while Raunak is unmarried. Meanwhile a new housemaid called Mohini joins work and everyone is happy with her. Sadly a astrologer predicts that there will be two deaths in the family before Diwali and everyone is alarmed by this. Soon Uttam’s son dies and they are devastated. Mohini then gives birth to her child and every one is suspicious about the child’s father. Mohini who now returns back from her mother’s home is certain that the child’s father is Durlabh and should marry her. The film is directed by P Kumar Vasudev and the mucis is composed by Usha Khanna. The dialogue and screenplay is written by Abrar Alvi. The star cast includes Vijayendra,Navin Nischol, Sarika, Madan Puri, Tanuja and Asha Sachdev.
