“Madha Gaja Raja” is a recently released Tamil action-comedy movie directed by Sundar C and produced by Gemini Film Circuit and Benzz Media (P) Ltd. Featuring Vishal, Santhanam, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Sonu Sood, this highly awaited movie was stalled for more than 12 years before it eventually released in theatres across the globe on January 12, 2025, over the Pongal weekend. The movie was received well and was the second-top-grossing Tamil movie of 2025.

The film is about “Madha Gaja Raja” (Vishal), a bold guy who confronts corrupt elements. When his father, Inspector Srinivasan, requests him to save Theekuchi Thirumugam and his daughter Madhavi from a gang, Raja provides them refuge. He falls in love with Madhavi, but they are separated by misunderstandings.

Meanwhile, Kalyanasundaram, a travel agent, has marriage problems as his wife and mother-in-law demand a divorce. On their way to a wedding ceremony, they happen to meet Raja, Ramesh, and Shanmugam, school friends from a race. Raja also helps Dhandapani, a school teacher, settle his daughter's marriage problems and reconciles Kalyanasundaram with his wife.

The actual conflict arises when Ramesh, a sub-collector, is framed for bribery for having exposed Karukuvel Vishwanath, a media baron who indulges in bribery. Raja, set on finding justice, confronts Vishwanath, and is then framed for selling drugs. Raja gets back at his adversaries, establishing his innocence.

Vishwanath's nefarious designs run riot; he kills Minister Nallamuthu to become his minister and orchestrates a caste riot to hide his illegal money transfers. Raja overpowers Vishwanath, who is apprehended. Ramesh is reinstated, and the government provides compensation to the victims.

Finally, Raja opts to begin a new life, leaving Madhavi and Maya behind, and marries a doctor. Action-packed, hilarious, and suspenseful, “Madha Gaja Raja” is a fresh new movie that will deliver an engaging experience for all.
