Mirzya (2016)

Monish, played by Harshvardhan Kapoor works at a stable grooming horses all day. His childhood friend is Suchitra, played by Saiyami Kher who is soon going to be a princess. They both study at the same high school in Jodhpur and are very close to each other. They share almost everything together. One day in school the teacher punishes Suchitra for not doing her homework and begins to cane her. Monish cannot bear to see this and gets infuriated and in a fit of rage shoots the teacher and kills him with Suchitra’s fathers gun that he stole. Monish gets sent into a juvenile correction facility while Suchi gets sent to London away from him to study well. After completing her education when Suchi returns back she meets Mohit again with his name changed as Aadil. They both get close again and he goes and apologizes to Suchi’s father but he disapproves and they both elope but eventually get caught and commit suicide. Mirzya is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Rohit Khattar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, P. S. Bharathi and Rajiv Tandon. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
