Synopsis

Nana Hee follows the soulful story of Anindita, a young and spirited college girl whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Bagharoo — a once-celebrated Gambhira artist from Malda. Haunted by the gradual erosion of traditional values and the commercialization of folk arts, Bagharoo has abandoned Gambhira, believing the world no longer honours its true essence. As Anindita delves deeper into his world, an unlikely bond forms between the two. Through empathy, curiosity, and determination, she encourages Bagharoo to reconnect with the art form that once defined his identity. Their journey becomes a moving exploration of heritage, identity, and revival, questioning whether lost traditions can find a place in today’s changing cultural landscape. Directed by Sayan Bandhopadhyay & Anjanabha Roy and produced by Ehsaas Kanjilal & Sumana Kanjilal , Nana Hee features a compelling ensemble cast — Kharaj Mukherjee , Saurav Das , Sritama Dey , Sreya Bhattacharya , Bimal Giri , Anjan Kanjilal , and Prahlad Sardar — bringing to life a narrative rooted in emotion, tradition, and hope.
