Paltan is a war film directed /produced by J.P Dutta (Zee studios. J.P Studios) and multi starrer which includes Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Gurmeet Choudhary, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhant Kapoor, Esha Gupta Luv Sinha and released on 7th September 2018.
The story is set in 1962, the battle between India-China, based on a military operation against the Nathu La Pass in Sikkim is the truth of events on the Line Of Control, Most of the film is shot in the landscape of Ladakh(Filling in for Sikkim). Major General Sagat Singh (Jackie Shroff), Lieutenant Colonel Rai Singh Yadav(Arjun Rampal), Captain Prithvi Singh Dagar(Gurmeet Choudhary), Major Harbhajan Singh(Harshvardhan Rane)Attar Singh(Luv Sinha) and Hawaladar Parasar(Siddhant Kapoor) set out with a group of soldiers to protect the Chinese from the Nathu La Pass away from their near and dear ones.
The ministry of Defence had given a standing ovation to J.P. Dutta at the screening of the film. He had roped in 300 army Personnel in this film.
