Raju, played by Salman Khan, loses his mother at a young age and his father leaves them much before that. He starts his own business as an adult and is happy living his life. One day he sees Rajesh Mittal, played by Rishi Kapoor, receiving an award in London and realizes it is his own father. He rushes to London and confronts Rajesh about him being his father. But Rajesh tells him its too late as he is already married and has two daughters. An angry Raju gives an ultimatum to Rajesh that he either break the news to his family or he will have to tell them all himself. Rajesh then in a nervous state hires goons to attack Raju, who beat him up. He is rescued by Shera, played by Sanjay Dutt.
Shera advices Raju to enter Rajesh’s mansion and get to know his family. He starts living with his friend Robin and falls in love with his daughter Sonia, played by Amisha Patel. Soon Raju starts accompanying Rajesh and his family almost everywhere. One day at the company meeting Raju defends Rajesh and he is impressed by him, and calls him his son. Eventually Rajesh tells everyone that Raju is hi son and they live happily after that.
The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Kanchan Ketan Desai. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The cinematography is by K.S Prakash Rao.
