1st Himalayan Film Festival In Leh Opens With Sidharth Malhotra Starrer Shershaah

Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra is getting all the validation he needs as an actor with the success of his last film Shershaah. The actor has been applauded for his portrayal of Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra who was martyred during the Kargil war of 1999. The film is helmed by Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran and also stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady. The 1st Himalayan Film Festival in Leh, Ladakh that was held recently, opened with the film Shershaah. Malhotra flew to Ladakh to inaugurate the festival and also met I&B Minister Shri Anurag Thakur.
Sharing his honor on social media Sidharth wrote, “Inaugurated the 1st Himalayan Film Festival with 'Shershaah' today. It was an complete honour to have shared the stage with our honorable Union Minister for I&B, Mr.Anurag Thakur. Thank you for having us.” Talking about preparing for his role the Student Of The Year actor had earlier said, “I have lived with the script of Shershaah for the longest amount of time than any other script that I have in my career. And I think with that time and interaction with real people attached to the film whether it's Vikram Batra's brother or whether his parents kind of subconsciously preparing me for this lovable Punjabi Boy who went on to become this very heroic soldier. So, I would say definitely prep went in two months sitting with the director Vishnuvardhan, sitting with our writer Sandeep.” Malhotra will next be seen in Mission Majnu opposite South actress Rashmika Mandanna.
