The 71st National Film Award winners for the year 2023 were revealed some of the top artists to be the recipients of the National Film Awards at the Press briefing at the National Media Centre in New Delhi at 6 pm on 1st August 2025. Jury Members announced the winners across all categories.
Fans across have been beaming with joy ever since some of the top names like Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey have been on the list of the recipients of the National Award for Best Actors and Rani Mukerji for the Best Actress.
Vikran Massey bags the Best Actor for the film ‘12th Fail’, while Shah Rukh Khan was awarded the Best Actor for the film ‘Jawan’ for his 33 years of acting tenure and Rani Mukerji for her emotional performance in ‘ Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway’.
Other awards were for India’s diverse cinematic talents across various categories, such as Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur that won multiple awards such as Best Makeup, Best Costume and Best Feature film promoting National or Social and Environmental Values.
Vaibhavi Merchant won an award for Best Choreography for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Other award winners were Adah Sharma’s The Kerala Story, Sanya Malhotra for Kathal, Telja Sajja’s Hanu-Man, and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal received the award in multiple categories.
