Akshay Kumar And Manushi Chhillar Starrer Period Drama Prithviraj Release Postponed

Looks like the covid virus is striking back in full force again, this time in the form of new variant Omicron. While business everywhere is slowing down as a result, filmmakers are also being cautious and pushing the release dates of their projects. In spite of having spent crores on promotions, this is too much of a risk to bear as far as audiences safety is concerned. One among them is YRF’s big budget period drama Prithviraj. The Akshay Kumar starrer was to hit the big screens on 21st January 2022, but now has been postponed indefinitely.

 

Prithviraj is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and is the debut Bollywood film of former Ms World Manushi Chhillar. The film is sure to pull in large crowds as Yash Raj has a blockbuster on hand. But with the covid situation escalating everyday, the makers cannot take the risk of releasing it, as it will beat the purpose and lead to losses. Apart from this film, Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Bachchan Pandey, Ram Setu and Raksha Bandhan.
