Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan To Play Lead In Hindi Remake Of Soorarai Pottru, Shooting Begins

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar already has a huge list of films awaiting release. He has now (not surprisingly) signed on yet another. This time it’ll be for the Hindi remake of South superstar Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru. The Bell Bottom actor shared a small video on the mahurat day of the film where lead actress Radhika Madan is seen breaking a coconut to mark the auspicious beginning of the film’s shoot. 

 

Sharing the video, where Madan is seen in a red and white saree, Akshay wrote, “With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it. In case you’ll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes.”  Commenting on his first time collaboration with Akshay, the Jai Bheem actor wrote, “A new begining… need all your love and blessings!! @akshaykumar @Sudha_Kongara @gvprakash @CaptGopinath @CapeOfGoodFilm @Abundantia_Ent @2D_ENTPVTLTD.” Along with the post Suriya also shared some pictures with Kumar. 

 

The upcoming untitled remake will be directed by the original director Sudha Kongara. Apart from this film, Akshay will also be seen in films like Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan, Gorkha and Selfiee.
