Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are leaving no stone unturned in bringing Ramayana to the silver screen on a grand scale. This film is constantly in the headlines for its ambitious execution, stellar cast, and massive budget.

Now, as per reports, actor Amit Sial has been finalised to play the character of Sugreev in the much-awaited magnum opus.

It will be interesting to see how Amit adapts to the role of Sugreev. As per reports, he will also have to undergo a significant physical transformation to get into the skin of the character. Amit Sial has won the hearts of the audience with his excellent acting in Amazon Prime Video's Inside Edge, the Maharani web series, and the recent Ajay Devgn blockbuster film Raid 2.According to Hindustan Times, Amit has already shot his portions and is close to completing his part in the film. The actor and director have worked on his transformation and appearance to bring authenticity to the narrative.

Ramayana Release and Cast

Ramayana will be released in two parts, with the first part slated to hit theatres on Diwali 2026 and the second part on Diwali 2027. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, and South superstar Yash, under the visionary direction of Nitesh Tiwari.On 3 July 2025, the makers of the film revealed its first glimpse along with the character posters of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash.
