Amitabh Bachchan to be awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Better late than never, veteran actor and superstar Amitabh Bachchan has finally been selected to receive one of the most prestigious and higest Indian awards in cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The Badla actor received several congratulatory messages and wishes from Bollywood celebs like his Gulabo Sitabo co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, Shatrughan Sinha, director Madhur Bhandarkar, Rajinikanth and Karan Johar, among others.

 

Amitabh Bachchan will receive the honour of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution in Indian cinema over a span of 50 years. Some of his most prominent films include Silsila, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Kaala Patthar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Yaarana and recently Pink, Badla, Bhoothnath and Paa, among others. He will soon be seen in Chehre opposite Emraan Hashmi and Kriti Kharbanda.
