Apart from this, Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's most popular show 'Ramayana', will play the role of his father Raja Dasharatha in Ranbir Kapoor's film.

He may be happy to be a part of Ramayana once again, but his co-star Deepika Chikhalia, who played the role of Mata Sita, is very sad with this decision. What did Deepika say on Arun Govil's casting in 'Ramayana'?

Deepika Chikhalia finds it a bit strange that the actor is playing the role of Dasharatha in Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana. When Arun Govil was announced as the character of King Dasharatha in the same mythological show, the fans were a little surprised.  Deepika Chikhalia said, I and everyone has seen him as Ram and me as Sita. For me, it is a bit beyond my understanding to see him as Dasharath.

It Is Difficult To Break The Connection Between The Character And The Audience

However, Deepika also admitted that this is everyone's personal choice, but it is very difficult to break the connection between some characters and the audience. She said, "If you have played the character of Ram, then you are Ram for people". Deepika told that she did not get any message or call from the casting team of Nitesh Tiwari's film, but even if she had, she would never have accepted this offer, because she cannot play any other character in 'Ramayana' after 'Sita'.

Deepika Chikhalia's Take on Arun Govil's Casting

Talking about the Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer film 'Ramayana', the first look of the movie has come out on July 3. Nitesh Tiwari's mythological film will come on Diwali in the year 2026 and the teaser of his film will be released this Diwali.
