Deepika Padukone Joins The Cast Of ‘83’

The Ranveer Singh starrer sports movie ‘83’ will now have his real- life wife Deepika Padukone playing his reel-life wife in the movie. The Gully Boy actor will be seen essaying the role of Indian cricket Captain Kapil Dev when India won its World Cup in 1983. The film will also show the dramatic side of the couple when his wife Romi Bhatia walked out of the stadium when team India was losing wickets but re-entered when they started winning.

 

Deepika will also co-produce the film along with Madhu Mantena, Vishnu Induri and Kabir Khan. The movie 83 will mark the fourth collaboration between Deepika and Ranveer, which includes Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela.
