Colors show Durga Aur Charu's journey of two sisters who haven't realized they are bound by blood yet. The new show, which is a sequel to Barrister Babu, features two sisters who are opposites. Adrija Roy and Rachi Sharma will play the roles after the jump. Mohit Kumar, on the other hand, was supposed to play Anirban's male lead. Despite Kumar's departure from the family drama, the channel recently cast well-known actor Kunal Jaisingh in the role.

Kunal Jaisingh, best known for his work on Ishqbaaz, will play the role of Anirban, a politician's son in the show. Durga and Charu are still unaware that they are sisters despite their estrangement in the ongoing plot. Their fate is tied to Anirban, a politician's son with personal agendas and a desire for acceptance from his father. Both are pursuing their dream of practicing law. The show's premise is based on how Durga, Charu, and Anirban's lives intertwine with a twist of fate.

Kunal Jaisingh stated, "I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of Durga Aur Charu and play the lead role of Anirban," confirming his role as Anirban on the show and expressing excitement about taking on the role. Being a part of this show feels like a joyful return to home. It is amazing to see how well the creators have carried on the prequel's legacy. I'm looking forward to continuing my partnership with Colors and diving into a captivating new storyline.
