Kareena Kapoor To Star In And Co-produce Hansal Mehta’s Next

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan has given us many impressive performances in her last few films like Jab We Met, Veere Di Wedding, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, etc. The actress is now all set to don the hat of a producer in her next. Not only will she be co-producing the film with Ekta Kapoor but also starring in it as a lead. The film will be helmed by Hansal Mehta. The film is reportedly based on true events and is based in the UK. Speaking of her being a first time producer Kareena said, “Very honored and excited to work as a producer on this film with Ekta whom my family has known for years and of course to be directed by Hansal for the first time. I am a huge fan of Hansal’s films and to be working with him for the first time will be special. There are a lot of firsts on this film and I cannot wait to begin this journey.”

 

On his take on the film and both the women producers Hansal said, “Our aim with this film is to create a fresh, gripping and moody thriller with Kareena playing a character that I am hoping will do justice to her immense talent as an actor. I look forward to venturing on this journey with Ekta & Kareena, both of whom have accomplished so much in their respective careers and are absolute powerhouses.” Kareena recently released her book ‘Pregnancy Bible’ and will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Aamir Khan.
