Ramayana the epic by Namit Malhotra continues to build a momentum as the date of the film’s promotions and its first glimpse is set to be unveiled on April 2nd, 2026. On the occasion of the auspicious festival of Hanuman Jayanti, the promotional roll out will mark the grand global reveal worldwide for fans.
On Ram Navami on Thursday March 26th, Malhotra shared a note on social media offering an insight into the vision of the ambitious project Ramayana. He messaged to the fans, that Ramayana is a story for all of us and every step that has been taken is guided by a deep sense of responsibility , devotion and with utmost sincerity. He announced the next glimpse on 2nd April which will celebrate the moment across the world. He thanked the fans and audience for their love, faith and patience.
Ramayana is envisioned as a large-scale spectacle.
Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari is expected to be in two-part cinematic spectacle mounted on a global collaboration. It is envisaged to be on a large-scale set about 5000 years ago and aims to blend with the advance technology. Ramayana aims to position itself as a visually grand yet a very immersive storytelling resonating with the ancient epic and retelling.
The film Ramayana is already generating significant buzz after its initial reveal . It included the multi city launch in India and is prominently showcased at the Times Square. The makers have expanded the scale further on the upcoming Rama glimpse by turning the reveal into worldwide fan driven big celebrations.
Ramayana features star cast ensemble with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita , Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman while Ravi Dubey is the Lakshman. The grand project is backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with the DNEG , the eight-time Oscar winner and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
Slated for its worldwide release during Diwali 2026 in IMAX followed by its second part release in 2027.
