Bollywood filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya is known for his large scale family dramas. After giving us innumerable entertaining films in the past, the ace director is back in helming his next big project. Titled Uunchai, the film has an impressive and unusual star cast of actors all above 60-70 years of age. The main leads include Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa. Actress Parineeti Chopra has joined the cast and is probably the only youngest one in the cast. She will essay the role of a tourist guide in the film. The film has gone on floors in Kathmandu, Nepal. 


Chopra had earlier expressed her excitement on working with Bharjatya by sharing a picture with him on her social media page and wrote, “Thrilled and honoured to be a part of the iconic cinematic universe of Sooraj Barjatya sir. Sooraj sir has defined and is the torchbearer of India's family entertainers and I can't wait to work under his tutelage; alongside this stellar and incredible cast.” Reportedly the team shot at Lukla airport, located near the Everest Base Camp, which is considered to be the world’s most dangerous airports. They will then head to Namache and Manang. Uunchai also stars Neena Gupta and Sarika in pivotal roles. Parineeti will next be seen in Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
