The trailer of Ramanyan is finally revealed on July 30th during the Brahma Mahurat which has started creating a buzz across all the platforms on the internet. Nitesh Tiwari directed Ramayan starring Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama is being discussed all over. Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and the menacing depiction of Ravana is played by Yash. The intense music score is provided by Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman

Ramayana trailer isn’t just about the mythological story that we all know or about Ranbir Kapoor or Yash. The makers of Ramayana are about the interesting context to the story along with its grand visuals that have been incorporated.

Airavat the elephant teases in Ravana’s battle.

One of the most significant moments in the trailer is about the white elephant in the grand aerial battle . It is believed the elephant called Airavat is a divine mount of Lord Indra. Airavat is the elephant that appeared in the Samudra Manthan. The celestial elephant that belongs to Lord Indra, the king of Gods is described as majestic white elephant with multi tusks with a golden armor.

In the trailer the white elephant appears more than just a visual spectacle. The scene could hint at Ravana’s conquest of Swarga Loka and will become one of the epic’s significant aspects. The teaser hints at the battle in which Ravana’s son Meghnad defeats Indrajit and earns the title of Indrajit, the conqueror of Indra Dev.

What we will witness in the film is not just about Ramayana but will give rise to the stakes of the battle, and not presenting Ravana as merely the King of Lanka but the trailer themselves will underline the scale of the conflicts much before the actual battle happens between Ravana and Lord Rama.

Pushpak Vimana stands out as a grand identity.

Pushpak Vimana is one of the main elements that is featured in the trailer that stands out as a gigantic flying structure in the sky. The structure is said to be the famous Pushpak Vimana that we have heard stories around it in mythology. The airborne palace is created by the celestial architect Vishwakarma for Lord Brahma. He then gives the Vimana as a gift to Lord Kubera, the God of wealth and is also the half brother of Ravana who steals the Pushpak Vimana from Kubera after he has defeated him.

Pushpak Vimana is a flying palace which is believed to be flying at the speed of thought and expand and accommodate any number of people. Apart from serving as a transport in the trailer, Pushpak Vimana represents the opulence and the grandeur of Lanka and Ravana’s kingdom that he boasts about.

The Golden Deer is the turning point.

One of the key elements in the trailer is the blink and miss of the golden deer that dashes across the dark forest Dandakaranya forests. The amazing visual effects and elements is the crucial moments in the Ramayana. It is about this deer that is found in the forests but shapes itself to shift to the demon Maricha disguise as the enchanting Swarna Mriga. Ravana takes the form of the golden deer to tempt Sita in asking Rama and Lakshmana to fetch it for her and thus the two brothers move away from their ashram and leave Goddess Sita defenseless and deserted in her Kutir where Ravana disguises himself once again to ask for alms and abducts Sita.

Jatayu bird’s sacrifice.

There is a brief appearance of Jatayu the giant bird flying in the scene in the trailer. The voice of Jatayu is by veteran actor Anupam Kher. Jatayu in the Ramayana story tries to intervene Ravana and stop him from abducting Sita in his chariot. Despite his age. He fights the battle in the air and knows he is no match for Ravana but tries his best to save Sita.

Jatayu represents the ultimate righteous act of Dharma, fighting across all impossible odds. The death of Jatayu is one of the saddest moments in the part of this epic while the story takes forward it is about Lord Rama with his unwavering quest to save Sita and bring her back home with honor.

About the film Ramayana

The first glimpse of Ramayana was launched in April. While the visual effects are greatly admired and appreciated for its grandeur, others have found faults in the way the characters have been designed. Especially the asuras resembling the Western characters.

The trailer of Ramayana was shown at the Pratham Sankalp event in New Delhi on Jully 18th, after which few clips were leaked online. The grand glimpse was a show at San Diego Con in California and in collaboration with Sony Pictures International distribution collaborations.

Ramayana will be released globally on November 8th coinciding with Diwali this year and the second part is expected to be released in 2027.
