Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor joined several other actors and filmmakers on January 15th 2026 as they stepped out to cast their precious votes in the BMC elections, with polling across 29 Municipal corporations in Maharashtra. The actor was seen at the polling booth. The Animal fame hero had encouraged citizens of Mumbai to participate actively in the voting.

After casting his vote at the BMC poll, Ranbir Kapoor interacted with the media and allowed a picture of himself with his inked finger. He said, it’s our job and duty as citizens to come out and vote. He also stated that the entire year, we as citizen complain that our country or our city does not have this or that, Its our right to come and vote and so do please come. He also thanked the BMC, whether its Ganpati or the voting, good facilities are provided for which he is grateful and thankful to them always.

After the voting, musician Vishal Dadlani slammed at the low turnout at the BMC polls and said hopefully whoever wins will hold the elections on time. This is most important for the country and our democracy. But given the state of our city in the last few days, the hope is that with a hope that things will improve, he said he has asked people to vote. He further stated there was hardly any public presence. There are more officials inside than outside waiting to vote and this is so shameful.


Dadlani said every Indian should feel the pain and if we didn’t care for our country who will? If we don’t take the responsibility for then what’s happening in our country will continue the way it is happening.  First of all, he expressed, that air and water should be clean. The basic necessities for a human life.


Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film


This year fans are excited and are eagerly waiting to see Ranbir Kapoor in a never before role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The actor will be essaying the role of Lord Rama in the film with Sai Pallavi as Sita.  Sunny Deo will be essaying as Lord Hanuman while Ravie Dubey is Lakshman. Yash as Ravana. The film is backed by Namit Malhotra and is scheduled for its release this year on Diwali.




Apart from Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War in the pipeline. The film will mark his second collaboration with the Bhansali. The film will also feature his wife actress Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for the later part of this year.
