Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar shoot halted in Leh
after 100 crew hospitalised with food poisoning.
Bollywood actor Ranveer is shooting for his
upcoming film Dhurandhar in Leh. In an unfortunate twist of events, around 100
crew members were shifted to a hospital in Leh due to food poisoning. An
official said that around 600 people had eaten the food. The shooting of
Dhurandhar came to a halt after this mishap.
Crew Members Rushed to Hospital
The film crew was engaged in shooting when
many of them started experiencing severe stomach pain, nausea, and headache.
They were immediately rushed to S.N.M. Hospital in Leh, where doctors confirmed
it as a case of mass food poisoning.
Food Safety Department Investigates
An official stated, “The food safety
department has collected samples. It looks like there was some issue with the
cheese and chicken. They were mostly working for the film. None of them is
serious,” he said. Officials said around 600 people had meals at the location,
but not all were served the same food. “Most of the patients have been
discharged,” they added.
There has been no official statement from Ranveer Singh or the makers of the
film on this matter.
Dhurandhar Release and Cast
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is slated to hit theatres on 05 December 2025. The film features an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh as the lead actor along with Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan. Sara Arjun will make her debut as the lead actress opposite Ranveer Singh.
