Saiyaara Breaks Overseas Records, Surpasses Big-Budget Bollywood Films

The romantic sensation Saiyaara has set another milestone. On its 12th day, it became Bollywood’s highest overseas-grossing movie of 2025.
As Ahaan Pandey and Anneet Padda’s romantic drama left behind biggies like the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava and Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5.
Overseas Earnings Soar Past Competitors
As per reports from trade tracking site Sanchlik, Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has earned ₹94 crore overseas in just 12 days, leaving behind Chhaava—which also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna—which earned ₹91 crore. With this milestone, Saiyaara emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood movie in the overseas market, beating others like Housefull 5 (₹70.25 crore), Sitaare Zameen Par (₹66.75 crore), and Murder Mubarak (₹54.00 crore).
Second-Highest Indian Film Overseas
Not only in Bollywood, Saiyaara is also the second highest overseas-grossing movie of all India on its 12th day—just behind Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, which collected ₹124.50 crore. Considering the film features newcomers, this is a significant milestone.
Chhaava Reigns Domestically
Meanwhile, Chhaava, produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar, leads the way as India’s highest-grossing movie of 2025, earning ₹807.88 crore at the global box office. The film stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb, and Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale.
