Days after the release of the teaser of Vishal Bhardwaj’s film O Romeo, the makers have received a letter from Sanober Shaikh, the daughter of gangster Hussain Ustara to postpone the release of the film until her demands are met. The director Vishal Bhardwaj and filmmakers Sajid Nadiadwala have yet to respond to her letter.

The daughter of the slain gangster Hussain Ustara has demanded Rs. 2 crore and the postpone of the film which has already led the film in a controversy.

O Romeo probably has show Hussain Ustara in a bad light

The letter sent by Sanober Shaikh, daughter of the Mumbai gangster demanding the postponement and the monetary demand running in crores is probably due to the impact the film will have on the family’s reputation. The letter by Sanober has been addressed to the producers Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and director Vishal Bhardwaj last week soon after the teaser was released.

Along with the monetary demand, Sanober has also reportedly demanded the makers to halt or cancel the film release until her concerns are addressed and to her satisfaction.

Is O Romeo based on the feud between the underworld don, Dawood and Hussain Ustara?

The teaser shows it as an action-packed film with a lot of violence and romance both, starring actor Shahid Kapoor as the gunman. Though the plot hasn’t been revealed by the makers, whether the film O Romeo is based on the real incidents or real-life story of Hussain Ustara. He was a Mumbai based gangster who was notoriously involved in feud with the underworld Don Dawood.
