Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor’s fans are eager to see him in a film post his fabulous performance in Kabir Singh. The talented actor was soon to be seen in the Telugu remake of sports drama Jersey. However, there has been some unfortunate development in that regard. The producers of the film have decided to push its release date further, for the fourth time to be precise. This is mainly due to the rising covid cases in the country. The film that also stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead was to hit the big screens on 31st December 2021.

In a statement the makers of Jersey said, “In view of the current circumstances and new covid guidelines we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film ‘Jersey’. We have received immense love from you all so far and want to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead!! Team Jersey!!” The film is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by South film producers Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Aman Gill.
