Shahid Kapoor To Play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj In Period Drama?

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to play the character of a lifetime. A The Jab We Met actor is most likely to essay the role of legendary Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Kabir Singh’s producer Ashwin Varde’s film. The film will be produced by Riteish Deshmukh and will soon go on floors if all goes well. 

Shahid Kapoor is yet to say a yes to the film, if he does it will be the second period drama he will be a part of after the Deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat. The rest of the cast is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
