Trailer Of Jabariya Jodi Launched

Based on the very controversial subject of groom kidnapping in the state of Bihar, Jabariya Jodi had its trailer launched recently at a grand scale in Mumbai. Battling the heavy rains, the cast and crew of the movie, which included lead actors Sidharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra and director Prashant Singh were there to tell us a little more about the movie.

 

There are many who have criticized the film for glorifying the act of groom kidnapping, however, the director was quick to clarify that it is the age old traditional evil of the Dowry system that has brought this act into practice in recent times. The makers have also showcased the movie’s story in a comical way rather than being too preachy about it. The funny dialogues in the movie are written by Raaj Shaandilyaa.

 

Meanwhile the lead pair of Sidharth and Parineeti, will be reuniting after a span of 5 years, since they last collaborated on Hasee Toh Phasee in 2014. Jabariya Jodi is all set to hit cinema screens on August 2nd 2019.
