Vedang Raina Shares His Experience On Collaborating With His Imtiaz Ali And Naseeruddin Shah In Main Vaapas Aaunga

Recently Vedang Raina opened up about him joining the much-acclaimed film maker Imtiaz Ali in his next venture, Main Vaapas Aaunga in the lead role. He shared the experience of working with the ace filmmaker and the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. 

The actor hasn’t revealed much about the role he is playing in the upcoming film but he has described it as an experience of a lifetime. He also added that Imtiaz Ali is a director who brings out the best from the actor without you even realising it and that Naseeruddin Shah is the legend whom he tried to observe as much as he could and learned things from him that he will remember for his life time. Someone he can look up to.

Further Vedang Raina stated that he is opened to working across various genre and is not looking at being type cast to limited roles.   If the script is demanding and resonates with him, he said he will have his heart in it and he will do it while different genre will also help him along the way.   He as an actor usually will go by the flow and let things happen.

In the past Vedang Raina has established himself as one of the promising stars who is not from the film industry but has come in as an outsider and paved his way through. He revealed he does not think much about being an outsider as it’s been a couple of years that he is in the film industry and that he is lucky to be doing what he is working at now. He also expressed that only a handful of them get these kinds of opportunities and he wants to make the most of it. Said Raina. 

Vedang Raina will be seen as a turbaned Sardarji in Main Vaapas Aaunga.

In the up coming film Main Vaapas Aaunga, by Applause Entertainment and helmed by much acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, Vedang Raina will be seen playing the role of a turbaned Sardarji. The film opens up in cinemas on June 12th 2026.  Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh and Naseeruddin Shah will be in key roles as well.
