Vedang’s debut in the Netflix, musical 2023 film ‘The Archies’ an adaptationfrom the popular Archie comics set in the 1960’s. In the film Vedang Raina essays the role of Reggie Mantle. The film set a nostalgic buzz with the fresh faces that were introduced by Zoya Akthar the director of the film. Reggie Mantle is one of the lead roles alongside of Archies played by Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan as Veronica and Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper. Among the new comers, his involvement positioned him as one of the promising actors as his portrayal as Reggie Mantle remained captivating. His refreshing energy did not go unnoticed and the audience and the film critics in their reviews praised the young actor that he had a natural screen presence, highlighting the potential of the 24-year old’s future in the film industry.

Vedang Raina’s next project was in another exciting venture, in the action thriller film ‘Jigra’ where he has essayed a role opposite the very poplar actress Alia Bhatt. Vedang and Alia’s onscreen is convincing and has created a stir. The story is about siblings, Alia the sister who goes any length to protect her brother essayed by Vedang. For Raina, it was a significant leap to be sharing the screen with an established actress as Alia Bhatt. The role of a character who is imprisoned in South East Asia with a minimal screen time, he has managed to create and impact on the audience and had a perfect chemistry for the role he essayed. The film went on to emerge as a box office hit.

Vedang Raina has also sung four of his film songs and has won the Filmfare OTT Award for the Best Debut Actor his performance in the film ‘The Archies'. He sang the song; ‘Everything is Politics’ in the same film. He has also won awards for his singing various songs.
