Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal was fairly new when people noticed him in the Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi. The actor’s career has only gone uphill since then. With movies like Uri: The Surgical Strike and Sanju to his credit, the talented actor is all set to enthrall us with his next. The actor will next be seen in a biographical film titled Sardar Udham. He took to his social media page to share an intense still from the film and captioned it, “He waited 21 years… travelled across continents… to finally cross that one street! #SardarUdham #SardarUdhamOnPrime | Oct 16.”

Sardar Udham will give us a never before seen insight into the life and struggles of revolutionary freedom fighter Udham Singh. Talking about his iconic character Vicky said, “When you watch the film, you’ll come to know that it’s much more than just revenge, hatred and anger. There’s so much more to Sardar Udham Singh as a character. It’s never hard to express an emotion, but it takes a bit of a task to reach the truth of it, especially when you’re portraying such a character.” He further added, “There were moments during the filming of ‘Sardar Udham’ where I really required a bit of introspection and imagination. To be true, it’s about trying to be in a mental state of mind to express those emotions. The execution of our film has been done in a very realistic way. It’s not like we’re presenting a freedom fighter like he’s a superhero. The way Shoojit da has conceived Sardar Udham’s journey as a freedom fighter -- it feels like he’s just one of us, just another Indian.”

Sardar Udham is directed by Shoojit Sircar and also stars Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Banita Sandhu, Kirsty Averton and Amol Parashar. The film will release on Amazon Prime Video on October 16th.
