Vicky Kaushal Starts Prep For Meghna Gulzar’s Upcoming Biopic ‘Sam Bahadur’

After impressing the audiences with his role in Sardar Udham, Vicky Kaushal is all set to play another real life character in an upcoming biopic. The film we are talking about is Sam Bahadur that traces the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial. The Uri actor has begun prep to play this titular role and shared the same on his social media page writing, “Here we go Prep starts!!! #SAMBAHADUR . @meghnagulzar @rsvpmovies.” 

In the picture, Vicky shared the bound script of Sam Bahadur along with some pictures of the real Sam Maneckshaw in his hay days. Speaking about being a part of the project Vicky had earlier said, “I had always heard stories about Sam Bahadur from my parents who hail from Punjab and have seen the 1971 war but when I read the script I was completely blown away. He is a hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved to this day and capturing his spirit in the film is of the highest importance to me.” Sam Bahadur also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. 

Vicky has previously worked with Meghna Gulzar in the Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi. He will next be seen in Govinda Naam Mera opposite Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar.
