Vijay Deverakonda All Set To Pack A Punch With Liger Releasing Theatrically On 25 August 2022

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar took to his social media page to announce the release date of his upcoming PAN India film Liger. He wrote, “The Action, the Thrill, & The Madness - it’s going to be a total knockout! #Liger arrives in theatres worldwide on 25th August, 2022.” The film’s first look will be unveiled on New Year’s eve on 31st December 2021. The film also stars Student Of The Year 2 actress Ananya Panday along with boxing legend Mike Tyson, who is making his Bollywood debut. 

 

Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The sports drama will feature Vijay Deverakonda as a professional boxer and most likely have a face-off with Tyson in the ring. The film will hit the big screens in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, catering to a multi-audience. Vijay gained immense fame after playing the character Arjun Reddy in the film of the same name. It was remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh played by Shahid Kapoor. Ananya will next be seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan starring Siddhant Chaturvedi.
