Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu Starrer Rajkumar Hirani’s Film Titled Dunki To Release In 2023

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan will finally end his sabbatical after nearly 4 years and be seen on the big screen once again. While his Pathaan with Deepika Padukone will release in January 2023, his most awaited film with Rajkumar Hirani has finally been announced. The film is titled Dunki and will have Taapsee Pannu as his leading lady for the first time. 

In a comical video shared by SRK on his social media page, the actor talks to filmmaker Hirani and tells him how he has made so many blockbusters, and he wishes to work with the director. Thats when the Sanju director tells him that he has a script for him and it is called ‘Dunki’. The Raees actor is shocked and says, “what? Donkey?” Hirani corrects him and repeats ‘Dunki’. 
The video then shows a title of the film with a plane flying above giving a gist of what to expect. 

Speaking of his collaboration with Hirani SRK said, “Raj Kumar Hirani is one of the finest filmmakers of this generation, we have always spoken about working together and I am extremely happy we are finally doing it with ‘Dunki’. We have just started shooting this month and I am cherishing every moment of it. Raju ke liye main Donkey, Monkey...kuch bhi ban sakta hoon!”

Taapsee spoke of her experience, “I am beyond excited to embark on this journey and be a part of this very special film. It’s my first time working with Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan, two people who I deeply respect and admire.” Dunki is produced by Red Chilies Entertainment and will hit cinemas on 22nd December 2023.
