Romance has evolved with time in the Bollywood Films .

The larger set of audience look forward to watching Romantic films from the time the Hindi Cinema has evolved.   From the Classic Romantic films to what its today, we have come a long way in the film industry capturing romance which has its own charm to carry forward a film.

To look back we have starring  Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, rajendra kumar  who were pioneers of the Romantic films of the Golden Era. The most renowned romantic pair on screen were Raj Kapoor and Nargis who churned out some super hit films like ‘ Shree 420’, ‘Awara’ and ‘ Andaz’ , while Dev Anand had a tint of humor added to his romance with not just romancing his heroines but also teasing them !!

The few good looking heros like Rajendra Kumar had their own style of romance and people remember for his much loved song number, ‘ Teri Pyari Pyari Soorat Ko’ , ‘ Baharon Phool Barsaye and many others.  The melodies of yesteryear films played an important part in the film and without good music to the film the film would fall apart or be incomplete.

Then came Shammi Kapoor and Jeetendra the dancing heros with romance and energy put together . The songs looked more beautiful as time went by with producers and directors using foreign locations to shoot their songs.  Mohammed Rafi added the zing to the voice of Shammi Kapoor while Rajesh Khanna the first Superstar of Indian Cinema held the true persona of romance in the Hindi Cinema for a long time. The female fans would go crazy over his’  Mere Sapno Ki Rani’ from the film Aradhana which is an all time classic film for its numerous song and the well blended music score.   He paired the best with onscreen chemistry that became popular with actress Sharmila Tagore.

We had many more actors and actress over the years, who did romantic films but most of them were only able to create trendy romantic characters thereafter.
