Biography
Alpana Buch started her career with stage when she was in college. She acted in plays that were semi-commercial. She had started off with Taak Dhina Dhin and then made her professional debut with Saal Mubarak. She had tasted success with her first play and thereafter did not have to look back.
She also gave her voice to radio news for 18 years. She was the announcer which proved she could pull a charm on the crowd even before she had stepped on the stage. Alpana Buch entered the entertainment era with not so glamorous gala but in All India Radio where she announced headlines for 18 years .
In 2009, she started off with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Leela Hasmukh Sha as subtle mother-in-law humble yet hypnotic who stole the hearts of the viewers. In 2018 she was in Sharato Lagu.
She is currently seen in the ongoing television show, Anupama on Star Plus. Alpana Buch has been a part of the television shows such as SaraswatiChandra, Papad Pol, Shahabuddin Rathod ki Rangeen Duniya, Baal Veer, Udaan, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop and many more such television shows.
Alpana was seen in the Gujarati movie, Sharato Lagu, and has been actively involved in Gujarati dramas and plays such as Chup Raho Khush Rajo, Rupiya Ni Ne Dollario Raja, Pachi Kehta Nahi Ke Kahyun Nohatu.
Alpana Buch enjoys a massive fan following on her social media. She has remained as the radiant ringmaster of the small screen Anupama with its twists with fans and hearts awards rolling in for her as Leela Shah Baa, in the long running Hindi television series, going on since 2020 to 2026, she has a strong screen presence in Gujarati cinema and her recent film appearances in 2024 and 2025 where in she appeared as Pratik’s mother in Madgaon Express , She portrayed Chandrika Ben in Itta Kitta in 2024 and portrayed Ram’s mother in Naankhatai in 2025.
