A deeply felt Gujarati family drama about the joys and pains of an adopted child and the playfulness of parenthood. It was produced by the IL&FS Group and the Confederation of Indian Industry and was released by A-Thomas Productions International on January 19, 2024. Directed by Abhinn Sharma and Manthan Purohit, the film stars Manasi Parekh, Raunaq Kamdar and Alpana Buch. The film tells the story of Kavya and her husband Nirav Jariwala, a well established Indian American couple, whose world is shaken after Kavya learns she is infertile. Along the way on their journey to motherhood, they inadvertently adopt two sisters – 7 and 13 years old – who turn their lives upside down.

This smart decision unleashes a mountain of funny and moving scenes as the well-meaning, lively family attempts to integrate their lives into the refugees’ mix. Though dealing sensitively with adoption themes like unconditional love and acceptance as well as society’s bias against adoptees, the film is still lighthearted, imaginative, and fun.
