Biography
Raaj Laxmi started her career in modelling followed by joining the South Indian Cinema. She modeled for brand advertisements mainly and then had ventured into films. She has acted in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi language films till date.
She made her debut in Tamil language film Karka Kasadara and subsequently appeared in few other Tamil comedy films between the year 2005 and 2010.
In 2008 she took up serious drama films like Velli Thiraj and then the action thriller film Dhaam Dhoom directed by Jeeva. She made her debut in 2007 with Malayalam films, starring in Rock n Roll opposite to Mohanlal, followed by few other films in Malayalam.
In 2009, she acted in the film Vaamanan wherein she plays a role of a supermodel. In 2010 she worked in three films. Made a special appearance in song sequence in two of them and In Ghost House Inn and Pen Singam. She portrayed the role of cowgirl in the Tamil film Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam.
Raaj Laxmi started getting public recognition with her films one after another. She was back in 2011 released film Christian brothers followed by two more films in Tamil projects which were comedy horror and action films respectively. She was signed to reprise the role in Kalpana in 2012 the Kannada remake of Kanchana film’s success. She continued to act in films from 2014 to 2016 and till date is active in her career.
In 2016 Raaj had signed two more films in Tamil Cinema called the Bangalore Naatkal and Sowkarpettai. After a gap brief gap Raaj Laxmi did a film opposite Pawan Kalyan, a Telugu film Sardar Gabbar Singh in 2016.
Finally, Raaj Laxmi did her debut in Hindi film Akira. She made a come back in Malayalam film with Mammootty starer Oru Kuttanandan Blog. She also debuted in Julie 2 in 2017. And Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva a Tamil film.
She has done several films between 2017 and 2021, such as, Kaidi No. 150, Raghava Lawrence, where is Venkatalakshmi, Neeya 2, Officer Arjun Singh IPS Batch 2000 and a horror film in Tamil called Cinderella in 2021.
She was also a part of the star cast for the film Mirugaa, a Hindi dubbed film released in 2022.
In 2024, Raaj Laxmi acted in the Hindi dubbed film Jhansi IPS. In May 2024, she acted in the Hindi language drama thriller film Tippsy, directed by Deepak Tijori and produced by Raju Chadha.
