Vidya Malavade

Vidya did her debut with Vikram Bhatt’s Inteha, released in 2003, which had failed miserably at the box office.  After a string of unsuccessful films, Vidya continued with several advertisements.  She was known popularly for her role in the film Chak De India in 2007 with Shah Rukh Khan, in which she essayed the role of Goalie and the Captain of the Indian Women’s National Hockey Team.  Her most recent film was Yaara Silly Silly.

Besides Chak De! India and Inteha, which Vidya Malvade is known for,  she had acted in films such as Kidnap in 2003, wherein she portrayed Mallika V Raina and  Striker in 2010.  She was a part of the project, 1920:Evil Returns released in 2012, Kok Jaane Na in 2021, Starfish in 2023, Ruslaan and Naam in 2024 and Sangee in 2025

Vidya Malvade has appeared in numerous web series, such as Mismatched, which aired from 2020-2022. She essayed the role of Zeenat Karim and then as Dr. Arora, released in 2022, wherein she played the role of Vaishali.  She also appeared in the 2022 web series Abhay. 

Mismatched for a series on Netflix, which was a romantic comedy.  Dr Arora was on Sony LIV, a series in which she portrayed alongside Kumud Mishra, who essayed the titular role of Dr. Arora. The series explored the lives of individuals and their experiences with sexual health. In the film Abhay Vidya essayed the role of Nidhi and in Kaali which was featured on ZEE5.
