Andaz (1994)

Ajay completes his studies and comes back to his hometown to become a teacher. He secures a job as a teacher in S.T school, where he himself is an ex-student of. He is a disciplinary and well-respected teacher. A mischievous student named Jaya always plays pranks on every teacher and also on Ajay. Slowly she begins to fall in love with him. Ajay however has no interest in her and ignores her. She challenges him that she will be his wife one day. Ajay gets worried that she might win the challenge and marries a orphan named Saraswati. Jaya is heart broken and moves in next door. Jaya befriends Sarawati and teaches her to read, write and cook. One day some terrorists attack the school and the students save themselves and hide. However in the ensuing defence, Jaya gets severely injured while trying to save Ajay. She then dies in his arms confessing her love. The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani. The star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla,Karishma Kapoor, Raj Babbar,Ishrat Ali,Shakti Kapoor,Kader Khan,Satish Kaushik,Mahesh Anand,Tej Sapru,Vikas Anand,Deven Bhojani,Ghanshyam and Kunika.
