Kaushalya, played by Reema Lagoo loses her husband and brings up her two sons all by herself in a village. She gives them good education and leaves no stone unturned to make them better human beings. Her older son Madhav gets married to Laxmi and settles in the US, while younger son Keshav is in India doing business. After a while Madhav invites his mother to join them in the US, which she agrees to. On reaching the US however, Kaushalya doesn’t feel very welcome. Laxmi treats her like an outsider and keeps to herself most of the times.
Kaushalya also notices a change in Laxmi’s attitude and lifestyle, ever since she has come to the US. Her late night partying and living a careless lifestyle is something Kaushalya regrets. Keshav, meanwhile comes to know about his mother being ill-treated and asks her to come back, but she decides to stay on to bring her daughter-in-law on the right track.
The movie is directed and produced by Ashok K Nanda. The star cast includes Krishna Abhishek, Mehrunnisa Hassan, Mohnish Bahl, Raj Vasudev, Mushtaq Khan, Master Raj Gokhani, Reema Lagoo, Ekta Bahl and Sonali Goswami. The music is composed by KP and the cinematography is by Ramesh Nautiyal. The choreography is by Rajiv Singh Dinkar. The singers in the movie include Shreya Ghoshal, Saurabh P Srivastav, Rajshree Biswas, Saurabh P Srivastav and Sadhna Sargam.
