It is about ACP Anbuselvan takes down a feared gangster in a daring operation, but his victory is short-lived. Shattered by the loss, Anbuselvan sets out on a relentless mission to track down Pandya and his gang, determined to bring them to justice at any cost.

Anbuselvan, orphan and hard-ass IPS officer in the Chennai City Police, currently posted as the ACP in the Crime Branch. He and his IPS buddies, Shrikanth, Arul and Ilamaran, belong to a crack unit created to combat organized crime. The unit is brutal, going so far as to assassinate gang members. Human rights regulators soon dissolve it after they terminate five gangsters in three months, and Anbuselvan is returned to a command center.

Anbuselvan crosses paths with Maya, a school teacher, and after assisting her with an issue, they create respect and attraction towards each other, and fall in love when she suffers a car accident. Gangster Agaram Sethu and his brother Pandiya are ascending the crime world ladder with their own serial kidnappings. The team is put back together and sent to track down Sethu, who dies in the final standoff. Driven by the need for vengeance, Pandiya goes after the families of the unit rather than the soldiers themselves. In the tumultuous events that unfold, Maya is taken captive, while Anbuselvan is grievously hurt, though he lives.

Back in the hospital, Shrikanth confesses that he had double-crossed Anbuselvan to protect his wife Swathi. Anbuselvan quickly comes to regret sending Anbuselvan these grizzly packages when, using Maya as a human shield, Pandiya gunshots her, killing her instantly. Anbuselvan’s killing of Pandiya avenges their deaths, and though he moves on to do his work, he is shown mourning the loss of Maya.
