Jyothika Saravanan

Jyothika Saravanan is a predominantly an actress who has worked in several Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films and has won many accolades which include the National Film Award, five Filmfare Awards for South, and four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Actress. She also has won the Kalaimamani Award and Jyothika is ranked as one of the finest and most prolific actresses of the South Cinema.

Jyothika debuted in Hindi films with the film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, starring opposite Akshay Khanna. The film was released in 1998. The film was directed by Priyadarshan. She has won 16 nominations for Best Actress at the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Jyothika has worked in over 50 South films and made a comeback in 2015. Her first Hindi debut film didn’t run well in theatres, so she went back to continue her successful film journey in South Indian Cinema. After 27 years she starred once again in the film Shaitaan which made her come back to Bollywood. In this supernatural horror film directed by Vikas Bahl, she starred with Ajay Devgn, Madhavan, Janki Bodiwala and Anngad Raaj. The film was released in March 2024 during Maha Shivratri.  The film received a lot of praise and it grossed over 200 crores worldwide.

Though she primarily focuses on South Indian Films, she hasn’t received many offers for Hindi cinema but she acted in the film Srikanth and the television Serial Dabba Cartel released in February 2025 and is still being aired on Netflix along with a few prominent stars as Shabana Azmi, Gajraj Rao and Lillette Dubey. 

In the film Srikanth released in 2024, she essayed the role of a mentor and co-starred with Rajkumar Rao and Alyana F.
