Madhur, played by Mohnish Bahl relocates to Delhi, away from his dispute stricken village, leaving his father to deal with it. He lives with his wife Komal, played by Anuradha Patel and daughter Ria, played by Yuvika Chaudhury. After Ria begins college, Madhur starts work as an investigator with the Human Rights Department. He is asked to investigate the death of a couple in his village, which their respective fathers think is a suicide.
As Madhur gets deep into his investigation he learns that the village still follows the centuries old Khap Panchayat, wherein couples aren’t to allowed to marry their distant relatives, nor can they marry someone from a different caste, community or religion. As he begins digging deeper people get uncomfortable with his snooping and he gets attacked. Madhur eventually succumbs to his injuries in the hospital and dies.
Komal and Ria move in with Madhur’s father Omkar, played by Om Puri, in the village. Ria meanwhile falls in love with her college friend Kush, played by Sarrtaj Gill. Omkar arranges their marriage and they leave for their honeymoon. But when the couple returns, they are in for a rude shock, as the village people have uncovered some facts about Kush and his family. The movie is written and directed by Ajai Sinha and produced by Sangita Sinha and Siddhant Sinha. The music is composed by Annujj Kappoo.
