The only survivor of the attack on the family of R.C. Sekharan Thampi, IG of Police (Ummer), is his granddaughter. Officers Sudheendran (Prem Nazir), Balachandran (Madhu), and Jayadevan (Jose Prakash) are tasked with apprehending Bullet Raghavan, the perpetrator of the murders. Sudheendran's son Rajan (Shankar) is in love with Sreekala, the niece of his uncle Balachandran. After failing to convince Balachandran to work for him, Raghavan turns to Jayadevan for assistance. Balachandran was the target of Jayadevan's resentments, and he saw this as the ideal chance to exact revenge. In order to implicate Balachandran, Jayadevan is killed after Sekharan's assistant discovers him with Raghavan.
