Synopsis

Vishnu Pratap, is celebrating his 60th birthday in his village with his family. His wish is to see his extended family, especially his estranged son’s family to be present at the celebration. Thus his son comes from Bombay for the celebration and they are met with hostility. However Abhay, played by Fardeen Khan, who is Vishnu’s grandson is jovial and warm and all start to like him. He gets friendly with Mangala, who is Vishnu’s friend’s granddaughter. They eventually fall in love. Things turn for the worse when Abhay gets into an argument with Rudra and they have a horrible fight. Vishnu slaps Abhay due to his actions. Soon Abhay learns of the family feud between them. They are even ready to kill each other for something that happened 25 years ago. Abhay then asks the family permission to marry Mangala but her marriage has already been arranged with someone from Virendra Pratap’s family to unite them. So Abhay has no choice but to sacrifice his love. But Mangala is adamant and tries to run away. Later they are united when the family realizes that they really love each other. The movie is directed by K. Ravi Shankar and produced by D. Ramanaidu. The music is by Anu Malik.
