Photograph is a sweet romantic drama film. Ritesh Batra wrote and directed the movie. It stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra. The film follows Rafi, a poor street photographer in Mumbai. He must quickly find a solution to his grandmother’s demands.
Rafi is constantly pressured to get married soon. His grandmother keeps pushing him to find a wife. To stop her nagging, Rafi creates a small lie. He decides to hire a quiet, shy student named Miloni. Rafi asks Miloni to pretend to be his fiancée. He wants his grandmother to believe they are a couple. Miloni agrees to play this strange role for him.
The temporary lie begins to get complicated. Rafi and Miloni start to spend more time together. They come from very different social backgrounds. However, a gentle connection grows between them. They both learn new things about each other's lives. The film explores their developing, unusual relationship. They must keep up the pretence for Rafi’s family. The line between acting and real feelings starts to blur.
