Four friends decide to start a rock band of their own. The friends include Aditya, played by Farhan Akhtar, Joe, played by Arjun Rampal, Rob, played by Luke Kenny and KD, played by Purab Kohli. Joe asks his girlfriend Debbie to do the hair and make up for the group, when the group is about to be signed by a major recording company. However there is some friction between the band mates when Joe asks his slow song to be included in the album, which he wrote for Debbie. Not only is the song rejected by the company but Debbie is also removed as the stylist without any intimation. To make matters worse, the cameraman focuses mainly on Aditya as the frontman and Joe loses his cool.
Joe leaves in a fit of rage with Debbie. Aditya who is shocked at Joe’s behavior decides to quit the band Magik, and the band members lose touch. Ten years on Aditya is a successful businessman who is married to Sakshi, played by Prachi Desai. She feels Aditya doesn’t open up to her. One day she finds Magik’s photographs in his cupboard and some letters and songs. On his birthday she throws Aditya a party and invites KD and Rob. Slowly all the band members unite and they form their band once again.
The movie is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The music is compose dby Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
