Rocket Singh : Salesman of the Year (2009)

Harpreet Singh, played by Ranbir Kapoor is an average student but aspires to be a great salesman some day. He lands a job at a big corporate company AYS as a salesman. He slowly catches on with the job and one day when a client tries to bribe Harpreet, he reports it by putting a complaint in the suggestion box of the company. He then reports it to AYS’s boss Sunil Puri, who humiliates him and tells him to achieve targets at any cost. The other employees all have increased targets now because of Harpreet’s actions and they start to detest him. Harpreet realizes that if the customer is happy there is no need to bribe so he decides to start a company that will provide client servicing anytime and assemble a computer at a much lower price hence not making much profit but becoming an instant success and names it Rocket Sales Corp. Sunil hears of the success of Rocket Sales and is annoyed. He tries to buy the company from Harpreet not knowing who he is talking to. After multiple attempts to find the office location he tries every number given on their brochure and see the AYS phone ring. Sunil buys Rocket Sales Corp from Harpreet for Re.1 but is unable to run the company with any success. He realizes his mistake and sells the company back to him, where Harpreet now is the CEO. The movie is directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Aditya Chopra.
