After delivering multiple box office hits together, Kartik Aaryan will reunite with T-Series for Captain India, which is now officially being produced by the music giant along with Harman Baweja. The film is set to go on floors in 2026 and is expected to be shot in India and in Morocco. 


The new project, Captain India will mark the comeback of Shimit Amin after 17 years after he had directed his last venture.  The much-acclaimed filmmaker had previously besides Ab Tak Chhappan had also helmed the cult favourite Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. 


Interestingly the film was initially to go on floors in 2021 with Hansal Mehta. With a powerful banner, a proven star power and a celebrated director returning to helm after 17 years, Captain India is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. 


Kartik Aaryan signed in for 2026 with untitled musical film


Meanwhile Kartik Aaryan has signed an untitled musical drama film with Anurag Basu and is also currently shooting for Naagzilla, a fantasy thriller starring alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The fantasy thriller is produced by Dharma Productions and is directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba , slated for its release on August 14th 2026 to coincide with the Independence Day weekend. 


Incidentally Mrigdeep Singh Lamba is of Fukrey fame and has a project lined up with Kabir Khan.
