According to a report, 'Ajay Devgn's film was scheduled to release on June 23, but now the makers have decided to release the film on Thursday, September 7. For what reason the release date of the film is being pushed further, it has not been disclosed yet.

According to media reports, 'Perhaps September 7 is a better date. Janmashtami will fall on that day and the film will get the benefit of a four-day weekend. If it releases on June 23, it will clash with 'Adipurush' which is hitting the theaters on June 16. Hence, the makers of 'Maidaan' have started mulling over the new release date. After this, 'Prabhas' will release on September 28, so there will not be much clash because there is a long difference in the date.
